      Elbert Gordon "Top" Dorsey, 82, of Bronson died at 5:15 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 24, 2000, at Twin Lakes Care Center in San Augustine.

      Dorsey was born July 11, 1918, in Geneva and had been a lifelong resident of Sabine County. He was a retired operator for Sabine County. He served in the U. S. Army Air Corps during World War II and was a member of the Baptist Church.

      He is survived by a sister, Carolyn Ameilia Gross of Fall Brook, California.

      Arrangements were handled by Starr Funeral Home Inc. in Hemphill.
