    • Volume 5 of the Striffler-Benkelman Broadcast, dated September 1, 1941, reported that Edgar Braun, Jr. was graduated in January, 1941, by Western High School, Detroit. Ted was president of a class of 170, the youngest member and high man in scholarship. At that time, he was a student at Wayne University.

      In the STRIFFLER-BENKELMAN BROADCAST, Volume 9, September 2, 1946, in a column titled "Still in the Service of the U.S.A.", it was noted that Edgar G. Braun, Jr., (Ted) reported at Forst Benning, Georgia, Aug. 1. It was also reported that he has graduated from West Point on June 4, 1946.

      Volume 10 of the same periodical noted he was with the 811th Engineers Aviation Bat. Stationed on Guam. He was assistant Operations and Training officer. Volume 11 reported he was still on Guam, and had achieved the rank of First Lieutenant.

      Volume 12 of the STRIFFLER-BENKELMAN BROADCAST, dated September 5, 1949, reported that he had returned from Guam and was doing graduate work at the University of Minnesota.

      Volume 13 of the STRIFFLER-BENKELMAN BROADCAST, published on September 4, 1950, reported that he had graduated from the University of Minnesota with an M.S. in Civil Engineering.

      Volume 16 of the same periodical noted he was teaching mechanics at the U.S. Military Academy in West Point. As of the publication date of Volume 19, in 1956, it was reported that he was stationed on the Island of Santa Maria in the Azores. In Volume 20, it was reported that he and Mrs. Braun, along with their two children, Kathryn (4 years) and Charles (2 years) left the Azores for Fort Carson, Colorado. As of the 1959 publication date of Volume 22, it was noted that he was stationed in Fort Leavenworth in Kansas, and was to attend the Command and General Staff School. As of the publication of Volume 23 in September, 1960, he was stationed in Washington, D.C. Volume 28 reported he had been promoted to Colonel and was still stationed in Washington, D.C..

Issues on file at the Rawson Memorial Library in Cass City, Michigan include Vol. 5 (1941), Vol. 7 (1944) and Volumes 8 (1945) through Vol. 28 (1968). Issues published from 1961 through 1964 were not assigned volume numbers, and 1963 appears to be missing. Xeroxes of the existing issues were also made by Melinda McLemore Strong in 2007. According to a article published by the Cass City Chronicle on August 6, 1981, commemorating the Fiftieth and Final Striffler-Benkelman Reunion, the final issue of the STRIFFLER-BENKELMAN BROADCAST appears to have been Volume 28, published in 1968.), Volume 15, September 1, 1952.
