      Featured Teachers of the Week

      Victoria Ridings, Barbara J. Hale and Andrea Gregory Felts are the HISD Featured Teachers of the Week for the High School Campus. All three ladies are paraprofessionals at the high school.

      Felts and her husband, Richard, have a son, Bradford. She has been at HISD for 14 years. She is a member of Lamar University and has an Associate Applied Science degree in Dental Hygiene. She enjoys photography, scrapbooking, and gardening.

      Andrea Gregory Felts, 52, of Hemphill, died Monday night in the Nacogdoches Memorial Hospital, Nacogdoches, TX. She was born in Montgomery County, Texas, to Johnny P. and Norma Stowe Gregory. Andrea has lived in Hemphill for 26 years coming from Conroe. She was the elementary school registrar for the Hemphill Independent School District. Andrea was a member of the First Baptist Church in Hemphill.

      She is survived by her husband Richard Felts of Hemphill, her son Brad Felts of Hemphill, her father Johnny P. Gregory of Conroe, and her brother John Alec Gregory of New Waverly, TX. Andrea was preceded in death by her daughter Sarah Felts and her mother Norma Gregory.

      Visitation will be from 5:00PM until 8:00PM, Friday, Dec. 7, 2012, in the Starr Funeral Home, 510 Starr St., Hemphill, TX. Funeral services will be at 11:00AM, Saturday, Dec. 8, 2012, in the First Baptist Church in Hemphill. Burial will follow in the Harpers Chapel Cemetery.
