- Sigmund Spencer informed Art Peck that James and Dora had seven children, the oldest dying in infancy before even named. Their other children were Dewey (1915-1979), Ethel (Mrs. Early Clouse), Arley, James, Bruce and Earl. The family lived in Lansing, Remus and Mayville, Michigan.
Art further notes that on the 1920 Michigan census, Vol. 6, ED 71, Sheet 10, Line 90, the family is enumerated as follows:
