    • Martha Hunt emailed, in February 2012, that ": Richard Ward's parents were Richard Ward,Sr. and Ann Nelms Ward (b. 1756). After Richard Ward, Sr., died Ann Nelms Ward married George C. Booth, Sr. They moved to Rutherford County, Tennessee.

      Richard and Elizabeth Ward remained in Franklin County, NC and lived on the land that Abraham McLemore gave them shortly after their marriage."

      Sherry Butler Ward emailed, in October 2013, that they were the parents of Ben Ward of Hallsville, Texas. Her husband, Nathan Carter Ward, is a direct descendant of this family.

    • Martha Hunt emailed, in January 2012, that "I am a descendant of Seth Ward (b.1821), the son of Richard and Elizabeth McLemore Ward. They were married in Dec. 1816, Franklin Co., NC. Richard Ward died in April, 1850. They had the following children: Mary Ward Blacknall Wagstaff b. Oct. 1817, Seth Ward, b.1821, Benjamin Ward, Atkins Ward, Nathan P. Ward b. June 1833, Sarah A. "Sallie" Ward Gray b.1837, Presley Ward b. July 1839. They were all born in Franklin Co., NC. Benjamin Ward relocated to Harrison Co., Tx by 1859; Atkins Ward, Nathan, Presley and Sarah Ward relocated to Austin Co., Tx shortly before the Civil War. Mary Ward Wagstaff moved there also. Seth Ward remained in Franklin Co., NC. " Martha later emailed that "In 1859 Nathan Perry Ward, Atkin, Presley, and Sarah "Sallie" Ward relocated their households to the area around Justice Precinct 3 in Austin County, Texas. Mary Ward Blacknall had remariied. Her husband, Joseph J. Wagstaff, and her children moved to Austin County, Texas also. Sarah Ward married George C. Gray in Texas. They had one daughter, Elizabeth Gray (b. 1868)."
