    • Not listed with her parents and siblings on the 1910 census, and the 1920 census indicates she was 9, having been born ca 1911 or 1912. However, her obituary, the SSDI and FindAGrave all show her as born ca 1902. Perhaps the census enumerations were wrong?

      Elsie Kay, 100, died Tuesday, Jan. 21, 2003, at Byrd Medical Center in Leesville, La. Mrs. Kay was born April 29, 2002 (sic) 2, in Sabine County as a daughter of the late James Through and Ollie Elizabeth (McDaniel) McGRAW. She was a member of Freedom Rest Baptist Church. Survivors: six sons, Albert James KAY, LeRoy KAY, Virgil KAY, Clinton KAY, Buford Avon KAY, and William Earl KAY, all of Anacoco, La.; two daughters, Tommie Louise KEEL of Anacoco and Quinta Lea GOINS of Leesville; a sister Ruby WESTBROOK of Beaumont; 43 grandchildren; 98 great-grandchildren; 35 great-great grandchildren; and three great-great-great grandchildren. Funeral services were held at Freedom Rest Baptist Church in Anacoco with Bro. Bud McCullough, Bro. M.L. Perry, and Bro. Tommy Smith officiating. Interment followed at Beech Grove Cemetery in Anacoco
