Name |
Louanna McLemore |
Birth |
Abt 1853 |
Sampson County, North Carolina |
Gender |
Female |
Death |
Yes, date unknown |
Notes |
- Is she a daughter of Raiford, or Granddaughter? Note the eight year gap in age between she and Amos. She was listed on the 1850 census in the household of Raiford McLemore, but not in the 1864 Division of the Lands of Raiford McLemore. Therefore, it is likely that she was either deceased or not an heir of Raiford, unless she was also called Susanna.
At the time of the 1870 census, she was living with Rachel (McLemore) and Thomas Smith, and listed as "Keeping House."

Marriage |
- It is POSSIBLE that some of the older children attributed to him may actually have been children of his brother, Tobias. This is based on both the number and ages of children shown in his household in 1830 and 1840, and based on the unusual fact that he is said to have two sons named Raiford; two sons named Amos; and two daughters named Louanna. He may also have had a daughter named Susanna, who was listed in the 1864 Division of his lands, but could not be found on census records.
