- Jimmie helped his parents on their farm, and also briefly worked at Kassik Milling. He enlisted in the U.S. Air Force on March 1, 1951. He was assigned several bases, and also spent a year in Reykjavik, Iceland, where he was a powerman. He was discharged February 25, 1955, and moved to Belleville, Illinois, where he was employed by Union Electric and Power Company at Cahokia, Ilinois. He passed away while on the job. (Milligan, p 329).
