    Notes 
    • She came to the United States with her family in 1884, settling near Morse Bluff in Saunders County. They moved to Fillmore County in 1901. Ten children were born to her parents, Frantisek SIMIC and Ruzena BURES. Her siblings, as noted in the obituary of her father, were: Frank, John, Emil, Albert, Joseph and Agnes, who later married a McNichols of Carlteon. (Milligan, p 335).
