    Notes 
    • John Holpuch died of pleurisy on January 7, 1902, at the age of 62 years. He was bured at Ceski Bratri Cemetery. Mary Holpuch was left with 5 children, the oldest being 15 years old and the youngest was only 4. She raised her children in Milligan. She moved to Lawrence, Nebraska to help raise the children of her daughter, Mrs. Frank Rischling, who died April 10, 1928. She continued to make her home with her son-in-law in Lawrence where she became very ill, passing away on March 30, 1936, at the age of 76 years. She was buried near her husband in Cescki Bratri Cemetery.
