    • Caryn Getsinger reports that he changed his name to Allen Lister so he could be called Allen in the Navy. He died aboard the USS Piedmont. He was married to an Ethel Brown(?), who left her baby with Pauline as she couldn't raise the child herself. The child, Betty Jane was raised by her Uncle James Johnson in West Park, New York.
