    • When he registered for the draft during the First World War, he was listed as a school teacher, and resident of Bayou, Texas. He was of medium heighth and build, with blue eyes and light hair. Nearest relative was shown as W. J. McDaniel, also of Bayou.

      On the 1940 census, he and his wife lived in Sabine County with their children, Robert and Rose. He was listed an Engineer, Saw Mill. He had attended four years of High School. His wives last year of schooling was the Seventh Grade.

      His Texas Death Certificate shows his name as Collin Adrain McDaniel, born to William J. McDaniel and Canzada Hammock. He was a resident of Hemphill, Texas, with the address of 5th and Lillian Streets, but died at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont. His usual occupation was shown as Engineer, Log Train. Informant was shown as Mary Susan McDaniel.
