      Wilbern B. Powell, 80, of Bronson died Sunday, Nov. 21, 2004, at a Jasper Hospital.

      Powell was born March 14, 1924, and had been a longtime Bronson area resident. He was retired from the Texas Department of Transportation. Survivors: Wife, Margie Powell of Bronson; two sons and daughters-in-law, Herbert and Linda Powell of Krum and Bobby and Peggy Powell of Channelview; two brothers, Hollis Powell of Pineland and Harvey Powell of Livingston; a sister, Viola ELLIS of Brookeland; three grandchildren Patti WATSON and husband Eric of Highland Village, Chad Powell of Krum, and Rae Ann FOWLER and husband Joe of Houston; and four great-grandchildren, Madeline WATSON, Benjamin WATSON, Ty FOWLER and Peyton FOWLER. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home chapel in Jasper with Bro. H.T. Davison officiating.
