    • A mason and brickmaker. He was Catholic and led prayer meetings inthe first Catholic Church. His daughter, Anna, spoke proudly of her father helping to build Milligan. He worked for 25 cents a day. For lunch he had a slice of rye bread he brought from home. (Milligan, p 243).
