- Frank was a farmer, and also raised geese, ducks, chickens, hogs and cattle. He also worked with bees. He was a member of Svatopluk Lodge #420. (Milligan, p 236).

- The couple came to American in 1880, arriving in Baltimore, heading west via Chicago to Exeter. They were met by Frank and Anton Svec. After first working as farm hands for others, they purchased the eighty acres that great grandson Raymond Capek lives on today. The Capek's came to this country with the Herynk family who purchased eighty acres adjoining them. (Milligan, 237).

They were Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Capek, Mrs. and Mrs. Frank Hromadka, and Mrs. and Mrs. Joseph Herynk. The Capeks and Hromadkas celebrated their 50th anniversary at the Milligan Auditorium and the Herynks celebrated their 50th anniversary at Tobias Hall." (Milligan, p 236)
