      At the time of the 1930 Sabine County census, he was a boarder in the home of Clifford and Annie Reynolds in JP No 8. He was shown as age 32 and divorced, and his occupation was listed as laborer, section hand.

      Sam Wilson of Richardson, Texas emailed that Jim Cooper married second Doris Riola Lewis. He understood James Cooper had two sons by his earlier marriage but he only briefly met one of them and didn't remember their names
