  • Notes  Married:
    • He is listed in the 1860 census of Sabine Parish, married with children. After 1860, he is no longer located in Parish records. He married 10 Laura Alford, daughter of Julius C. and Elizabeth Alford (see dwelling 29 of this census) March 14, 1852 in Sabine Parish. They had one child, Laura J. Waldroup born ca 1852. The mother Laura Alford Waldroup died sometime between 1852 and 1857 when Claiborne married a sister of Laura, Frances Alford December 10, 1857. It is the second wife that he is listed with in the 1860 cneus. The first child may have died prior to 1860, as she is not listed with the family in 1860. Claiborne had 3 more children with his first wife. She is listed in the 1870 census as Head of Household with children, Sarah L. and Samuel. Beyond the 1870 census I can find not further records for this family. (Casagranda, 1850 Census, p 38).
