Married:
- Wynema McGrew notes that on the 1816 Marion County, Mississippi Territory census, the Johns family was listed as including a white male and female, both over the age of 21, and two males and three females all under 21. By the 1820 census, the family included a male and female over the age of 26, but under 45, and four males and two females all under the age of 10. In both enumerations, this family immediately followed the Alexander McGrew family.
Johns, along with Alexander and James McGrew were named as defendants in an assault case dated 3 Feb 1817 brought by John Cooper. Only Alexander McGrew was fined. In 1818, Johns, along with brother-in-laws Alexander, William and James were againd sued by John Cooper (along with a man names Simpson)...this time Cooper was awareded $1 from each of the men.
