Her Texas Death Certificate, viewable online at FamilySearch.org, Texas Deaths, 1890-1976, showed her as the daughter of Jim Brookshire and Victoria Robertson of Alabama. The informant was Mrs. F. E. McLemore (daughter Leo Hendrix McLemore).

Jim McLemore emailed, on January 6, 2010 that "Mr. and Mrs. Hendrix owned the cotton gin in Crisp, Tx east of Ennis. They were originally from Howard, TX which is 9 miles south of Waxahachie. Mrs. Hendrix was a Brookshire and her brother married my mother's (Jimmie Hudson) oldest sister. The Hendrix's had four daughters and one son. Three of the girls marries McLemore's. Floy and Willie married John Rhodes and Jesse Leon. Leo married Felix McLemore the son of William Thomas.

You want a mixed up mess, you got one. To take if further, my mother's father William Hudson managed the gin. That's where my mom and dad met (Jimmie Hudson and William Delbert McLemore). They farmed there for 10 years before moving to Howard where I was born."

3. Floy Hendrix was born on 23 Jul 1901 in Dallas County, Texas; died in Dec 1986 in Texas.
4. Willie Irene Hendrix was born about 1903 in Texas; and died.
5. Carl Hendrix was born about 1909 in Texas; and died.
