    Kenneth J. Kittell, 87, of Colmesneil, passed away, Thursday, March 12, 2020 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont, Texas.

    Graveside services will be held Saturday, March 21, 2020 at 2 p.m. at Fairlawn Cemetery in Liberty, Texas. Officiating will be Brother Edwin Findley.

    Ken was born April 19, 1932, the first of two sons to Boyd & Florence Adams Kittell in Beaumont, Texas. Boyd was a tuba player for the old Magnolia Refinery Band. Ken graduated from South Park High School. He then enlisted in the U.S. Air Force where he served for 10 years, with time spent overseas in Morocco and Okinawa. He resigned with the rank of Master Sargent. For over 25 years Ken delighted in supplying the spotlight as a member of the United Artist Union for music events in Jefferson County and other lightings for Bonnie Cokinos Productions. After working for Unocal for 29 years, he retired to Colmesneil on Frog Pond Lake. He spent 15 years driving the school bus for Woodville. He assisted his wife in maintaining and operating the Opera House in Woodville form 1981-1996. Ken was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Woodville.

    He was preceded in death by his parents, Boyd & Florence Kittell; son, Charles Kittell and stepson, Stephen Lee Hunt and brother Glen Ray and wife Pat Kittell.

    He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Mary Ann Kittell of Colmesneil; sons Winn Kittell, Paul Kittell, Reagan Kittell and wife Lauri; daughter, Holly Weeks and husband Kent; stepchildren, Kathryn Eyleen Hunt Williams Bergold, Jonnie A Hunt and wife, Tammy LeBleu; grandsons, Travis and Keith Kittell; Luke Aaron Williams, Nick Wood and Harrison Bridges; granddaughters, Sarah Ann Hunt, Amanda Belle Hunt and husband, Marlon Baltodano, Catherine Michelle Hunt and Rebecca Ann Williams; great granddaughter, Chloe Grace Hill, and nieces Kelly Kittell Edwards and husband, Greg and Karen Kittell. He is also survived by the mother of his children, Nan McCoy Kittell.

    "Edythe Evelyn McLemore McCoy died in Jasper, Texas on Sunday, November 17th at age 81 years, 1 month and 2 days. A Jasper County native, Mrs. McCoy grew up in Beaumont where she married Tell V. McCoy, Jr. and lived until her retirement from Baptist Hospital, where she was employed as an LVN.

    After retirement, Mrs. McCoy became interested in genealogy and proved relationships to various patriots which allowed her membership in The Colonial Dames, The Daughters of the Republic, The Daughters of the War of 1812, The Daughters of the Confederacy, and the Daughters of the Republic of Texas.

    She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Jasper, a charter member of Calder Baptist Church of Beaumont and a member of the Eastern Star in Jasper.

    She was preceded in death by her parents Frank and Nannie Sims McLemore, five brothers and husband. Mrs. McCoy is survived by her only child, daughter Nan McCoy Kittell, two brothers Terry and Max McLemore seven grandchildren: Holly and Michael Stafford, Charles, Paul, Reagan, Winn and Camille Kittell; two greatgrandsons; Travis and Keith Kittell, many nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.

    Interment is at 10:30 am today at Zion Hill cemetery in Jasper where she joins her husband, parents, brothers, both sets of grandparents, one set of great grandparents and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
