    Dakota was born November 3, 2000 in Livingston, Texas to Patrick Wayne Jacks and Darleana Lynn Martin. He was a lifelong resident of Sabine County and was a graduate of West Sabine High School Class of 2019. He was a member of Bronson Revival Center and was currently a student at Tulsa Welding Institute. He loved to play video games, listen to music, and hang out with his friends.

    Dakota is survived by his father and step-mother, Patrick and Nina Jacks of Bronson; paternal grandparents, Pat and Sharon Jacks of Bronson; maternal grandmother, Billie Sue Martin; great grandmother, Gladys Galloway; brothers, Josh Danuser of Tyler and Chase McClain and wife, Samantha, of Pineland; sisters, Ashley Morgan and husband, Sam, of Colmesniel, Brianna Welch of Pineland, Courtney Snelson of Mississippi, and Jera Brittain and husband, T. J., of Fairmount; special aunt and uncle, Sabrina and Raymond Worthy, of Pineland; and special cousin, Tanner Worthy of Pineland.

    He was preceded in death by his mother, Darleana "Sissy" Martin.

    Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. Saturday, July 11, 2020 at Starr Funeral Home, 510 Starr Street, Hemphill, Texas.

    Funeral services will begin at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, July 12, 2020 at Starr Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Danny Bentsen officiating.

    Burial will follow services in Bronson Cemetery under the direction of Starr Funeral Home with Haden Beauchamp, Pedro Carranza, Brandon McDaniel, Johnnie Hodge, Little John Hodge, David Smith, Eulalio Carranza, and Caleb McBride serving as pallbearers.

    Sharon Jacks, 65, of Bronson, Texas passed away Sunday, August 16, 2020 at her residence.

    Sharon was born on October 12, 1954 in Center, Texas to James Clifton Galloway and Gladys Jewel Galloway. She was a member of the Bronson Revival Center who loved attending Church. Sharon enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

    She is survived by her husband, Pat Jacks of Bronson; her mother, Gladys Jewel Galloway of San Augustine; daughter, Sabrina Worthy and husband, Raymond of Pineland; son, Patrick Jacks and wife, Nina of Bronson; sister, Shirley Blue of San Augustine; grandchildren, Tanner Worthy and Brianna Marie Welch.

    She was preceded in death by her father, James Galloway; sister, Peggy Lakey; and grandson, Dakota Lyn Jacks.

    The family would like to thank Affinity Hospice; Sharon's nurses, Lindsey Ross, Cassie Callum and Tiffany Pangarakis; and Tommy and Peggy Dickerson.

    Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Monday, August 17, 2020 at Starr Funeral Home, 510 Starr Street, Hemphill, Texas.

    Funeral Services will begin at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 18, 2020 in Starr Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Danny Bentsen officiating.

    Burial will follow services in Bronson Cemetery under the direction of Starr Funeral Home with Eulalio Carranza, Pedro Carranza, Pedro Carranza, Jr., Gayle McClelland, Dennis Chance, Tommy Dickerson, Michael D. McClelland and Charles Ray Bragg serving as pallbearers.

    Mary Ann Jacks
    Mary Ann Jacks, 66, of Rt. 1, Pineland, died Wednesday, Dec. 10, 2003 at her residence. Mrs. Jacks was born June 30, 1937 in Port Arthur and had been a longtime resident of Sabine County. She was a homemaker. Survivors: five sons, Pat Jacks, Joseph Jacks, Lee Jacks, Stanley Jacks, and David Jacks, all of Sabine County; sisters, Geraldine Mesa of Pineland and Barbara Frudge of Hemphill; ten grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, L.E. Jacks. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Friday at the chapel of Starr Funeral Home Inc. in Hemphill with Bro. Vance PURCELL officiating. Interment followed at Bronson Cemetery in Bronson.

    The obituary of her brother, Rev. Emile Onderdonck of Princeton, Wisconsin appeared in the May 1, 1996 issue of The Sabine County Reporter. He was noted to be a former resident of EastTexas and an ordained evangelist with the True Church of God in Jesus Name and a U. S. Merchant Marine Veteran. He was survived by his wife, Nora Cole Henderson Onderdonck and six children. Also suriviving were his sisters, Mary Ann JACKS and Cookie MASA, both of Pineland and Vickie FRUGE of Hemphill.

    The obituary of her sister, Geraldine MESA, was shown on the Starr Funeral Home website online in December, 2013, as follows:

    Geraldine Mesa, 84, of Pineland, died Saturday morning in the Hemphill Care Center. Geraldine was born in Port Arthur, Texas, to Emill and Ethel Roach Onderdonck. She has liven in Pineland for 60 years coming there from Port Arthur.

    She is survived by her daughter Alice Faye Walters of Saratoga, Texas, five grand children and numerous nieces and nephews.

    Graveside services will be at 10:00AM, Tuesday, December 24, 2013, in the Bronson Cemetery, Bronson, Texas, under the direction of Starr Funeral Home
