Melba Craig Broussard, 73, of Houston, Texas passed away Friday, July 6, 2018 in Houston Methodist Willowbrook Hospital.

Melba was born in Silsbee, Texas on December 15, 1944 to Lee Edward Craig and Vada Byerly Craig. She had worked as a school bus driver for Aldine ISD for over 30 years.

She is survived by her daughter, Pam Holmes and husband, Craig, of Hampton, Virginia and Glenda Lane of Brookeland, Texas; brother, Charles Craig and wife, Linda, of Brookeland, Texas; sisters, Sue Horton and husband, Kenneth, of Woodville, Texas and Barbara Strickland of Brookland; grandchildren, Lori Leger, Robert Lane, and Ashley Lane; three great grandchildren, Austin, Dallas, and Kaylyn; family and friends; and special friends, Sandy, Bennie, Valerie, Elsie, James, and her other school bus driving friends from Aldine ISD.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Levi Broussard; her parents, Lee Edward and Vada Craig; and her son, Michael Craig;

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, July 12, 2018 at Pine Hill Cemetery on FM2024 in Hemphill, Texas under the direction of Starr Funeral Home with Bro. George Jeffcoat officiating.
