Corlis + Hazel Ann Click. Hazel (daughter of Joseph Clayton "J. C." Click, Sr. and Thelma G. Horn) was born on 26 Jun 1933 in Sabine County, Texas; died on 25 Nov 2012 in Geneva, Sabine County, Texas; was buried in McMahan's Chapel Cemetery, Sabine County, Texas. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

Hazel Ann Click Foley, 79, of Geneva, Texas went to be with her Lord on Sunday, Nov. 25, 2012.

She was born June 26, 1933, to Thelma Horn Click and J.C. Click Sr. in Sabine County where she lived the majority of her life. Hazel was a lady of many talents and professions, including beauty salon owner/operator, large apartment property management, hair color regional representative for Roux Color Company, and area supervisor for S.T.E.P. which was a state employment program for needy seniors and training to move them into public job placements. She loved everyone and prayed diligently for her family, friends and nation. She was a true prayer warrior and Bible scholar.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Corlis Q. Foley; her parents; two sisters, Maurine Click Jones and Lois Click Gandy Jewel; brother, John Robert Click; and adopted daughter, Martha Freeman.

Those left to honor her memory are daughter Sylvia Foley Toole and husband Ron of Conroe; son, Corlis Gale Foley of Godfrey, Ill.; brother, J.C. Click and wife Ann of Geneva; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, cousins and numerous caring friends. The family would like to extend special thanks to all the employees of Lexington Place Care Facility in Nacogdoches. She loved them so much and they treated her like family. Also, Heart to Heart Hospice. They were so helpful in the transition from this life to her eternal life in heaven. These two organizations were truly angels on Earth for us.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 29, 2012, at Starr Funeral Home Chapel, 510 Starr St., Hemphill. Visitation will be from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2012, in the Starr Funeral Home. Graveside services will be at McMahon Chapel where she will rest with other family members who have gone home. Starr Funeral Home.

Middle name shown as Genurra on the birth index listing of son Joseph, and Genevera on the birth index listing of daughter Hazel. In the obituary of her son, JC Click, she is listed as Thelma Genevra Horne Click. Kay Parker McCary, on her annotated transcription of the McMahon Chapel Cemetery, shows her middle name as Geneva.

Notes:

The "Brandon-Click-Bazar-Johnson Family Tree" on ancestry.com shows that he married several times after Laura Crew died, having sons by two of his three other wives. In her annotated transcription of the Myrtle Springs Cemetery in Sabine County, Kay Parker McCary shows that two of his wives where buried with him at that Cemetery, Laura Crew and Rena Rogers.

The "Click Family Tree" on Ancestry.com shows his parents as Joseph Herman Click and Martha Susan Owen.

Notes:

In her annotated transcription of the Myrtle Springs Cemetery in Sabine County, Kay Parker McCary shows that her tombstone was inscribed "And my spirit hath rejoiced in God my savior-The Lord is my shepherd." McCary also notes that Laura was a daughter of Wiley William Crew and Mary Elizabeth Pickard, and that although the tombstone is engraved with 21 Jan 1910 as the date of death, her burial record shows 17 Jan 1910.
