His death certificate, provided by Melba Gene McLemore, shows he was the son of Oneziphere Duhon and Ida Broussard, of Broussard, Louisiana. He was a Musician with the Cliff Bruner Band, and accidentally drowned after his boat turned over while fishing near Taylor's Bayou.
