Tina Marie Ebarb
Tina Marie Ebarb, 42, died Friday morning in the San Augustine Memorial Hospital after a sudden illness.
She was born in Jasper to Benny and Marie Scarborough White and has lived in Hemphill all her life. Tina was the business manager for West Sabine I.S.D. in Pineland.
Tina is survived by her husband Johnny Ebarb of Hemphill; her son Jordan Ebarb of Hemphill; two daughters Harlee and Abbee Ebarb both of Hemphill; her granddaughter Kelbie Ebarb of Hemphill; her brother Mike White of Hemphill; and her mother Marie White of Hemphill.
Tina was preceded in death by her father Benny White.
Funeral serivces were held Tuesday, May 10 in the Starr Funeral Home Chapel. Interment followed in the Pinehill Cemetery near Hemphill.

Verna Marie Ebarb
Graveside services for Verna Marie Ebarb, 79, were held in the Springhill Cemetery on Wednesday, January 7, 2009. She died January 4, 2009, in her home in Hemphill, after an illness.
She was born October 30, 1929, in Sabine County and has lived her all her life. Mrs. Ebarb was a member of the East Mayfield Missionary Baptist Church. She worked privately as a caregiver.
She is survived by her sons: Johnny Ebarb of Hemphill, Joe David Ebarb of Pineland, and Ivy C. Norton of Milton, FL. Four daughters, Linda M. Blanton of Lufkin, Lucy Bolt of Hemphill, Sandra Ellis of Palestine, and Sharon Christian of Pineland. One brother Robert Ferguson of Hemphill, sisters; Patsy Canzoneri of DuPree, WS, Frances Milner of Sugarland, and Dorthy Welch of Houston; twelve grandchildren, and twelve great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Rev. I.W. "Buckshot" Ferguson.
Contributions to the Springhill Cemetery Fund, First State Bank, Hemphill, TX 75948, would be appreciated by the family.
Starr Funeral Home in Hemphill was in charge of arrangements.

Benny Ray White
Benny Ray White, 63, of Hemphill, died Friday April 25, 2008 at Nacogdoches Memorial Hospital.
He was born June 30, 1944 in Pineland to William E. White and Abilene Kilburn. He was a lifetime resident of Hemphill and was a welder. He was a member of the Baptist faith.
Survivors: wife, Marie White of Hemphill; son, Mike White of Hemphill; daughter, Tina Ebarb and husband Johnny of Hemphill; sister, Neva Alexander of Jasper; and five grandchildren, Jordan, Harlee and Abbee Ebarb and Brittany and Morgan White.
Funeral services were held Sunday, April 27 at Starr Funeral Home Chapel in Hemphill with Rev. Glenn Morton and Rev. Vance Purtell officiating.
Interment followed in Pinehill Cemetery.

Abilene White
Eloise Abilene White, 82. of Route 1, Pineland, died early Saturday, January 3, 1998.
Mrs. White was born Sept. 22, 1915, in Shelby County as a daughter of the late Lee and Bessie Kilburn and had resided on FM 2024 in Sabine County several years. She was a homemaker and a member of the Bethany Missionary Baptist Church and the Order of the Eastern Star.
Survivors: a daughter, Neve Alexander of Jasper, a son, Benny White of Hemphill; a sister, Elna Sanford of Hemphill; eight grandchildren, and 13 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husbane, W. E. "Bill" White in 1976 ans a son, Commissioner Kenneth E. White in 1993.
Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at the chapel of the Starr Funeral Home Inc. in Hemphill with Bro. Ronnie Whittle of Silsbee, a former pastor of Bethany Missionary Baptist Church, officiating. Interment followed at Pine Hill Cemetery on FM 2024 in Sabine County.
