4. | Rodney Strong was born on 8 Aug 1790 in Connecticut (son of Judge John Harris Strong and Elizabeth Cary); died about 1868 in Ohio; was buried in Wickliffe Cemetery, Willoughby Township, Lake County, Ohio. Notes:
Benjamin Dwight (p. 175) listed him as follows: "Rodney Strong b. Aug. 8, 1790, m. 10 Apr 1828, Mary Taylor. He d. 1868. He had a second (sic) wife, name not given. Children: By first wife: John Harris Strong Sophia Elizabeth Strong m. a Mr. Palmer Mary Amanda Strong Emmeline Strong Sarah Jane Strong By second wife: John Taylor Strong Charles Henry Strong"
It appears from the census records, below, that Mary Taylor must have been the second wife, especially in light of the marriage date of 1828 and considering his eldest son from the second marriage was listed as John Taylor Strong.

8. | Judge John Harris Strong was born on 19 Jan 1762 in Middletown, Middlesex County, Connecticut (son of Josiah Strong, III and Mary Harris); died on 28 Apr 1823 in Euclid, Cuyahoga County, Ohio; was buried in Wickliffe Cemetery, Willoughby Township, Lake County, Ohio. Notes:
According to Dwight's "History of the Strong Family," John Harris Strong was a farmer in Chatham, Ct. (1783-1811). In August, 1811, he removed to Euclid, Cuyahoga County, Ohio. Here he was agent for the sale of lands in an about Cleveland (belonging to Lord and Barber, of Haddam, Ct.), and was Judge of the court of common pleas (1817-1823). (Dwight, p 174).
