    At the time of their marriage, they were both of legal age, living in Spitalfields, and both of their fathers were dead. Witnesses were William Eames and John Wheeler. Rector James E. Gibson.

    Cecelia Payne's CD of early New Brunswick settlers showed two additional children, both born after 1870 (when Charlotte was over 50). They are not, however, on Alice Robert's "Duval.ged" at the Rootsweb WorldConnect Project. I have not listed them either. The additional two children shown were:

Guillaume's first wife died soon after the birth of their daughter. Dorothy further noted that he was "Christened at the house by Mr.Balguerie and recorded in register of French Church, La Patente de Spitalfield. Sponsers were Guillaume Duval and Marie Duval. Marriage to Ann by licence at St. Mathew's, Bethnal Green, London. Both made their mark. Witnesses were Ph: Ja: May, Peter Duval. Marriage to Margaret by banns at St. Leonard's, Shoreditch, London. He signed, she made her mark. Witnesses were Thomas Maund and Esther Goodey. He was listed as a weaver in records of the childrens' baptisms."
