2. | Anton "Anthony" Doupnik was born before 1844 in Bohemia; died on 5 Dec 1883 in Nebraska; was buried in Turkey Creek Cemetery, Saline County, Nebraska. Notes:
The exact date of Anthony's arrival to this country is not known, but it is known that he applied for his U.S. citizenship at Red Oak, Montgomery County, Iowa on December 8, 1870. The family moved to Saline County, Nebraska, and on May 4, 1871, Anthony registered an application for a homestead. His land was the s 1/2 NW 1/4, section 30, Turkey Creek Township. He "built a house of sod thereon, 12 x 14 feet in size with two windows and one door...plowed and cultivated about 40 acres of said land and...bored a well 48 feet deep, built a stable of straw and poles and planted a small grove of forest trees. (Milligan, p 261).

Terezie and her daughter Frances left Austria aboard the Steamship Neckar, a North German Lloyd vessel, from Hamburg, Germany and arrived in New York on April 15, 1870. (Milligan, p 261).
