- Mattie Pauline Bass,92, passed away Monday morning in her home. Mattie was born in Hemphill to Ed and Ola Gray Boyett. She was stay at home mother and housewife, she was a loving mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother, and great great grandmother.
She is survived by her son Roland Edward Bass and his wife Mae of Sulphur, Louisiana, her daughters: Gayla Fay Mote of Bronson, and Betty Jean Whitehead and her husband Charles of Center, her brother Troy Boyett of Milam, her 5 grandchildren, her 12 great grandchildren, and 6 great great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband Rufus Bass, daughter Vivian Bass, her sister Ella Mae Conner, her grandson Douglas Whitehead, and her great granddaughter Nevaeh Marie Bueno.
Graveside service will be at 2:30PM, Wednesday, June 17,2015, in the Gravelhill Cemetery in Rosevine.
