- A copy of the Vigo County, Indiana marriage license was provided by Paul Williams. Leonard was shown as being White, and born in Salem, Indiana to H. C. McLemore, born Kentucky and Nancy E. Hiffner, also born in Kentucky. The current residence of all three was shown as Illinois, with Leonard McLemore being shown more specifically as a resident of Niantic, Illinois. He married Anna Richards. She had been previously married as her father was shown as Andrew McNeely, a farmer of Salem, Ind. and her mother being Nancy Martin, a housewife born in Illinois. The license further indicated that Anna had been married once before, and was divorced in Salem, Ind on Jan. 28, 1913. The date of the marriage was Feb. 24, 1913.
Chere Sanborn Bernhard has news clippings showing that his daughter, Ellen, was the mother of Frederick Biihler....she was married to Chester C. Hiihler, and the daughter-in-law of Henry F. Biihler.
