- Michael L. Southworth, 74, of Elkton, passed away Monday, March 14, 2022 at Scheurer Hospital in Pigeon.
Mike was born October 2, 1947 in Pigeon to the late Donald and Elizabeth (Parham) Southworth. In 1965 he graduated from Laker High School. He retired from GM-Oldsmobile/Lansing in 2004 after 38 years as a tool and die maker. He rode through the lower 48 States on his beloved Harley-Davidsons. He loved hunting, tinkering, and traveling, including trips to Moscow and Brazil.
Mike is survived by his wife Kathryn; sons Sean (Debi) of Marshall and Bradley (Ann) of Okemos; step-children Kristin (Paul) Hartsaw of Lombard, IL, Kelly (Nancy Penfold) of Elkton and Kameron (Marisa Landsburg) of Elkton; grandchildren John, Noah, William, Lauren, Caroline, Olivia, Warren, and Maggie; siblings Cheryl (Bob) of South Carolina, Charles (Suzanne) of South Carolina, Nance (Ed) of South Carolina, and Dale of Grand Rapids. He was preceded in death by his brother Kerry.
A memorial service will be at 2:00pm Sunday, March 20th at the Champagne Funeral Chapel with Rev. Kenneth Lueke officiating. Visitation will begin at Noon and continue until the time of service.
Memorials may be made to Our Savior Lutheran Church in Bad Axe.
