- Fairy Bell McLemore Edwards, loving wife, mother and grandmother, age 85, passed away January 7, 2012 in Canyon Lake, Texas. She was born December 19, 1926, in Trenton, Tennessee to James and Thurzer (Barker) McLemore. She entered nursing school in September 1946 at St. Joseph's in Memphis, Tennessee and graduated in 1949. She was a registered nurse at Metropolitan Methodist Hospital in San Antonio. Fairy Bell was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and several other historical organizations and a longtime member of Lake Canyon Yacht Club. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Parks Edwards, Jr. and son, James Perry Edwards. She is survived by her son, Richard P. Edwards, III of Austin; daughter, Evelyn Ann Edwards Stuckey and husband Victor of San Antonio; grandchildren, Rachel Edwards, Richard P. Edwards, IV, Aaron Stuckey and James Lee Edwards; and brother, Eugene McLemore of Trenton, Tennessee. The family will receive friends from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. on Monday, January 16, 2012, at Porter Loring Mortuary North. Service Monday, January 16, 2012, 10:00 a.m. Porter Loring North Chapel. Pastor Rusty Rice will officiate. Interment will follow in Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
