Lucille Elizabeth Smith Haire 88 of Jasper died at Christus Jasper Memorial Hospital on Monday, September 12, 2011. Funeral services will be held on Thursday September 15, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. Forest Oaks Funeral Home and Crematory in Jasper, TX. with interment to follow at the Evergreen Cemetery in Jasper, TX. Visitation will be Wednesday evening from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home. A native of Yellowpine, TX. she was born on September 29, 1922 to William "Willie" Robert Smith and Mittie Zeroine McNaughten Smith. She was preceded in death by brothers Vessie, Everett, Eldon and Emmett and a sister Onie Smith Ener. Lucille was married to World War II veteran James Bronson Haire in 1944 who passed away in 1998. A homemaker and resident of Bridge City, TX. from 1957 until 1983 when she and JB moved to Jasper, TX. where they were members of the Beech Grove Baptist Church. Survivors include sons Paul Haire of Belton, TX. , James and wife Gail Haire of Deer Park, TX. and Dennis and wife Beverly Haire of Canyon Lake, TX. daughter Brenda McAfee of Houston, TX. Five grandchildren Michael McAfee, Eric Haire, Kelly Haire Bryan, Andy Haire and Kyle Haire. Seven great grandchildren Joshua, Makayla, Matthew, Brianna, Bethany, Megan and Aubrey.
