- In her annotated transcription of the Mill Creek Cemetery, Kay Parker McCary notes that "There is a small grave marked with a stone perimeter that Noble Terrence Smith says was a 12 year old girl that was traveling on a riverboat and got sick. Samuel William McDaniel and Martha Ann Martin took her in and she died about the same time as their daughter, Lillie Araminta McDaniel. The 12 year old is also buried by Lillie."

- In her annotated transcription of the Mill Creek Cemetery, Kay Parker McCary shows that there is also a burial marker for" J. L. M.," who was said by Noble Terrence Smith to be a brother of his mother, Minnie Mozelle Smith. There are no dates, and his initials to not match the initials of their known children. He may have been born and died so young that his information was never recorded. As their are no date, the order of his birth is not known.
