  Married: It is POSSIBLE that some of the older children attributed to him may actually have been children of his brother, Tobias. This is based on both the number and ages of children shown in his household in 1830 and 1840, and based on the unusual fact that he is said to have two sons named Raiford; two sons named Amos; and two daughters named Louanna. He may also have had a daughter named Susanna, who was listed in the 1864 Division of his lands, but could not be found on census records.
