Notes |
Married:
- Wynema McGrew writes that Charlie was married to Fannie's older sister, Laura, shortly before he and Fannie eloped, and left Mississippi. They were gone for many years, with Fannie coming home to visit only once, in the 1940's. They took Charlies eldest daughter by Laura with them and raised her as their own. They settled near Alexandra-Pineville, Louisiana, and can be found on the 1910 Rapides Parish census.
Mary Ann Praet Langlinais emailed, in October 2019, that she was :" the granddaughter of Neva Mary Carr, the child Fanny raised as her own. Fanny was survived by six living children and two who were deceased. She told her youngest child that she was her thirteenth pregnancy. I enjoy the geneology site and learned a lot that was not known about the Carr and McGrew families."
She also provided the date and location of death for Fannie.
