Benkelman, Bonnie OTR certification

Following her required coursework at Western Michigan College, along with an internship at the Shepherd Pratt Psychiatric Hospital of Baltimore, Bonnie was awarded the designation of Occupational Therapist, Registered. Her first employer was the Hines Veterens' Administration Hospital in Chicago. When she resigned from Hines in 1958, due to her upcoming wedding, she was classified as a GS-631-7 and was making an annual salary of $4,980. She later worked for the Scottish Rite Hospital for Crippled Children in Dallas.
