Notes:
In her letter dated 12 September 1999, Jo Ann Lee Gartig writes that "Kenneth (Morgan) has asked me to pass on to you the information which he learned at the Morgan cemetery off the road to Roganville. This small square of land, surrounded by upright concrete posts with two strands of clothesline wire strung through them to provide a fence, is located on the back boundary of property now owned by an elderly gentleman named Leroy Walker. Mr. Walker did not know much about the history of the cemetery or the people in it, but he did say there was an Indian there. This might be Mary Morgan, wife of Daniel...The "rights" to the cemetery belong to W.D. "Bill" Morgan, an 83 year old man living in Orange, Texas. Bill Morgan keeps the cemetery cleaned. The cemetery has one double headstone which reads:
Duncan Morgan 6-08-1806 5-26-1881 Elizabeth Morgan 7-24-1816 4-12-1903
There were also seven ironstone rocks marking other graves.
Note: In May, 2006, a marker was also placed near the final resting place of Daniel and Mary Morgan, in a ceremony conducted by the Sons of Confederate Veteran's.
