      Bonnie Sue Norsworthy

      Bonnie Sue Norsworthy, originally of the Hawthorne Community in San Augustine County, and current resident of Nacogdoches, passed from this life on Thursday, March 6, 2014, in Nacogdoches.

      A native of San Augustine County, she was born on Sept. 4, 1936, to the late Ruby (Stewart) Passmore and J. W. Passmore. She was retired from the Social Security Office in Port Arthur, and was married to the love of her life, Jack Norsworthy, on March 2, 1956, in Orange. They continued to live in the Orange/Port Arthur area before retiring back to their beloved home place in San Augustine County, having moved to Nacogdoches several years ago. She was a member of the Stallings Drive Church of Christ.

      Her survivors include, husband of 58 years, Jack Norsworthy of Nacogdoches; daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Andrew Smith of Nederland; grandsons, Paul Smith and Michael Smith, both of Nederland; and a brother and sister-in-law, James and Linda Passmore, both of Athens.

      Funeral services were held Sunday, March 9, at Wyman Roberts Memorial Chapel with Jay Taylor, Minister of the Stallings Drive Church of Christ, in Nacogdoches, officiating.
