  Notes	Verla M. (Navratil) Suda of Wayne, Nebraska passed away Sunday, November 17, 2013, at the age of 90. She was born on May 17, 1923, to Otis and Lillian Moran in Valparaiso, Nebraska. She attended school in Valparaiso and moved to Lincoln upon graduation. Verla married Joseph Navratil of Brainard, Nebraska on September 17, 1947, in Lincoln, Nebraska. They were blessed with 3 children, Linda, Dick and Doug. The family moved to Crete, Nebraska in 1954 and were the owners of Joe & Verla's Place until Joe's death in April 1966. On February 28, 1970, Verla married Melvin Suda of Milligan, Nebraska. Together they owned and operated Suda's Tavern. They returned to Crete in 1972. She moved to Wayne in 2003 and lived at the Oaks and Careage. Verla was a member of the Royal Neighbors in Valparaiso for 50+ years. She is survived by daughter Linda (Robert) Sweetland of Wayne, Nebraska and sons Dick (Heather) Navratil of Fort Collins, Colorado and Douglas (Deborah) Navratil of Lincoln; sister Marilyn Dolezal of Schuyler; sister-in-law Eleanor Svoboda of David City; four grandchildren, Lisa Hochstein, Rob Sweetland, Chris Sweetland, and Scott Navratil; 9 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
