    • James "Jim" William Frick, Sr., 75, died in his home in Hemphill Sunday morning. He was born in Milford Center, Ohio, to Leslie and Wilma Delorse Moore Frick. Jim served in the U.S. Army as a paratrooper from 1958 to 1960. He moved to Hemphill from Pasadena in 1978. Jim worked as a carpenter and was a member of the Carpenter's Local in Houston.

      Jim is survived by his wife Dora Frick of Hemphill, his sons; Jimmy Frick and his wife Betty of Hemphill, Gary Frick and his wife Kim of Hemphill, nine grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother Clarence Frick of Hemphill and his sister Mary Adkins of Beaver, Ohio.

      Visitation will be from 5:00PM until 9:00PM, Monday, December 9, 2013, in the Starr Funeral Home, 510 Starr St., Hemphill, Texas. Funeral services will be at 11:00AM, Tuesday, December 10, 2013, in the Starr Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Lows Chapel Cemetery near Hemphill.
