    Marjorie F. Savoy, 90, of Beaumont, Texas, died Thursday, October 4, 2012.

    She was born on August 9, 1922, in Hemphill, Texas to Benena and Norman Ener, and had been a resident of Beaumont for over seventy-two years.

    Marjorie worked as a secretary for Dr. Olcutt at Lamar Tech and retired from American Rice Growers.

    She is survived by her daughters, Rebecca Bridges and her husband, James and Patricia Lackey, all of Beaumont; grandchildren, James M. Bridges, Joanna Alford, Linda Crosby, and Karen Lackey. Marjorie was blessed with great-grandchildren, Caroline and Grace Bridges, and Rebecca Alford; brother, Norman W. Ener, Jr.; sister, Maurine Behrens; and many nieces and nephews.

    Marjorie is preceded in death by her parents; and sister, Nelwyn Meredith and her husband, Joe E. Savoy.

    She died peacefully at home under the care of New Century Hospice.

    Interment: Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Beaumont, Texas.

Survivors include his son, Norman Wesley Ener III; daughter, Suellen Ener; granddaughters, Jamie Young Beck, Dr. Elizabeth Ener, and Rachael Ener; great-grandchildren; sister and brother-in-law, Maurine and Paul Behrens; and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his wife, Mary Helen Kellam Ener; his parents; and sisters, Marjorie Savoy and Nelwyn Meredith. A gathering of Mr. Ener's family and friends will begin at 10:00 a.m., with his funeral service to follow at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, August 24, 2019, at Broussard's, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont.     Born in Hemphill, Texas, Nelwyn was born December 18, 1936, to Benena Smith Ener and Norman Ener and had been a resident of Beaumont for over fifty years. She was a former teacher with the Beaumont Independent School District.

    She is survived by two sons and one daughter; five grandchildren, two sisters and one brother.

    Her funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, September 17, 2011, at Broussard's, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont, with interment to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. A gathering of her family and friends will be from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friday, September 16, 2011, at Broussard's.

    Mrs. Branham, a longtime resident of Beaumont, was a native of Hemphill.

    Survivors: husband, James Branham Sr. of Beaumont; sons, James Samuel Branham Jr. of Baytown and Eldon Burnis Brahnam of Houston; daughters, Sandra Rae Thomas of Houston, Esther Jean Tanner of Beaumont and Martha Lou Huffman of Briston, Ind.; a brother, Daniel Eldon "Jiggs" Ener of Beaumont; a sister, Barbara Jean West of Beaumont; 13 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

    Funeral services were held at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday at Forest Lawn Funeral Home in Beaumont. Interment followed at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Beaumont.

    Daniel Eldon "Jiggs" Ener, 95, of Beaumont, died Monday, October 1, 2018. He was born on April 20, 1923, to Mary Martha "Mattie" McNaughten Ener and James Washington Ener in Hemphill. Jiggs was a United States Navy veteran having survived Pearl Harbor in World War II. He retired as an operator in the petrochemical industry.

    Survivors include his daughters, Jerri Frazier and her husband, Gary of Silsbee and Jodie Shirley and her husband, Tom, of Beaumont; grandchildren, Kate Shirley, Brooke Fergon, Matt Keneson, Matt Frazier, Amanda Hatton; great-grandchildren, Nick Fergon, Shelby Frazier, Charlie Frazier, Haylee Frazier, Rueben Hatton, and Hannah Hatton.

    A gathering of Mr. Ener's family and friends will be from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 3, 2018, at Broussard's, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. His funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Thursday, October 4, 2018, at Broussard's, with interment to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Beaumont.
