Funeral services for Erma Hunt, 88, of Hudson, will be held Saturday, February 26, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel in Lufkin with Brother Billy Knight officiating. Graveside services will follow at 12 Noon Saturday in the Broaddus Cemetery. Mrs. Hunt was born February 25, 1922 in the Rosevine Community, San Augustine County, Texas, to the late Ora May (Griffin) and William Nelson Boyett. She died Thursday, February 24, 2011 at her residence. Mrs. Hunt was a homemaker and a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She loved to play "42 " with her partners. She was a member of New Hope Baptist Church. Mrs. Hunt had lived in Hudson for the past 51 years, and previously resided in Broaddus for 37 years.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Judy and Bruce Bynum of Broaddus; sons and daughters-in-law, Pete and Wanda Hunt of Lufkin, Allan and Kathy Hunt of Hudson; daughter-in-law, Deloris Quine of Lufkin; fifteen grandchildren; thirty-two great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; brothers, Hubert Beard of Huntington, Oscar Beard of Bryan, Paul Beard of Port Arthur, Lon Beard of Anaheim, California, Raymond Beard of Atlanta, Georgia; sister, Edna Machann of Zavalla; aunt, Arlee Griffin of Rosevine; and cousin, Dalton Boyd.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hunt was also preceded in death by her husband, Jim Hunt; son, Jimmy Hunt; and daughters, Shirley Burgay and Teresa Hunt. Pallbearers will be Carey McMullen, James Hunt, Kenneth Hunt, Daniel Bynum, Steve Baker and Ritchie Segura. Honorary pallbearers will be Ryan Andrews, James Thomas and Richard Andrews. His Texas Death Certificated shows he was a resident of rural Angelina County to Jim Hunt and Erma Boyett, and survived by his spouse, Deloris Pickett, who signed his death certificate as Mrs. Jimmy C. Hunt. Occupation was shown as Operational Manager of Central Freight Lines. He died at the Hermann Hospital in Houston.

Graveside services for Larry "Pete" Hunt, 64, of Lufkin, will be held Thursday, January 26, 2017, at 3:00 p.m. at the Broaddus Cemetery.

Mr. Hunt was born September 25, 1952 in San Augustine, the son of Jim Hunt and Erma Beard Hunt, and died Monday, January 23, 2017 in Lufkin.

He was an avid hunter and fisherman, and he loved his children and grandchildren.

Mr. Hunt is survived by his wife of 43 years, Wanda Hunt of Lufkin; daughter and boyfriend, Janice Hunt and Jerry Steptoe of Lufkin; son, James Hunt of Lufkin; daughter and son-in-law, Melissa and Harry Cooper of Bull Shoals, AR; daughter and son-in-law, Jamie Nicole and Allen Sanders of Lake Charles, LA; 10 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, Allan and Kathy Hunt of Apple Springs; sister and brother-in-law, Judy and Bruce Bynum of San Augustine.

He was proceeded in death by his parents, Jim and Erma Hunt; brother, Jimmy Hunt; sisters, Shirley Burgay and Teresa Hunt; and grandson, James Thomas;

Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 25, 2017 at Shafer Funeral Home in Lufkin.
