    Elaine Anne Anderson LaMountain, 70, of Hemphill died at 4:31 p.m. Monday, March 27, 1995, at Woodland Heights Medical Center in Lufkin.

    She was born Dec. 15, 1924, in Bronson as a daughter of the late Ernest L. and Bertie (Harvey) Anderson. She had lived in Dallas 45 years before returning to the Hemphill area seven years ago. She was a member of the St. Bernard Catholic Church in Dallas, the Daughter of the Republic of Texas, Daughters of the American Revolution, and Hemphill Garden Club.

    She was the devoted wife of the late Lawrence Howard "Larry" La Mountain, who preceded her in death on June 25, 1987. They were married May 20, 1945, in Ft. Worth. She was preceded in death by a sister, Jewel Stark, in 1993.

    Survivors: two sons and daughters-in-law, Lawrence Howard "Larry" and Barbara LaMountain of Rowlett and Kenneth Charles and Mollie LaMountain of Dallas; four grandsons, John Lawrence LaMountain of Rowlett, Michael LaMountain of Memphis, Tennessee, Barry LaMountain and Ryan LaMountain both of Plano; three granddaughters, Kathryn Ann LaMountain of Plano, and Marissa Henderson and Michelle Henderson, both of Dallas; four brothers and sisters-in-law, Grady and Verda Anderson of Point Blank, Elton and Rosalie Anderson of Fisher, Louisiana, Louie and LaVerne Anderson of Buna, Lonny C. and Barbara Anderson of Gilmer; and a sister and brother-in-law, Vermell and Louis G. Brust of Dallas.

    Funeral services were held a 2 p.m. Thursday at the chapel of Starr Funeral Home Inc. in Hemphill with Bro. Wendell Ferguson officiating. Interment was at Gravelhill Cemetery in Sabine County.

    Vermell Brust, 90, of Hemphill, Texas passed away Tuesday, October 2, 2018 at Sabine County Hospital in Hemphill, Texas.

    Vermell was born in Sabine County, Texas on March 5, 1928 to Charles Ernest Anderson and Bertie Harvey Anderson. She worked as as bookkeeper for Fireman's Fund Insurance until her retirement in 1993.

    Vermell lived in Dallas for many years before returning to Sabine County in 2002. She was a member of Antioch Missionary Baptist Church and also a member of the Daughters of the Republic of Texas and of the Eastern Star. As a hobby, she enjoyed genealogy for many years.

    She is survived by her sons, William Brust and wife, Deanna, of Hemphill, Texas and John Brust of Winnsboro, Texas; daughter-in-law, Cheri Brust; and thirteen grandchildren.

    She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis George Brust, Jr. and her son, Louis George Brust III.

    Visitation will be held between the hours of 5:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. Friday evening, October 5, 2018 at Starr Funeral Home, 510 Starr Street, Hemphill, Texas.

    Funeral services and Eastern Star services will begin at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 6, 2018 at Starr Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow services in Gravel Hill Cemetery.

    Lonnie Sr C. "Andy" Anderson., 79, of Gilmer passed away on Friday, June 29, 2012, in Longview, Texas. Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 1, 2012 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Croley Funeral Home in Gilmer. Services will be held 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday, July 3, 2012 at Starr Funeral Home in Hemphill, Texas. Burial will follow in the Gravelhill Cemetery near Hemphill.

    He was born on March 30, 1933, in Hemphill, Texas to Ernest L. and Alberta Harvey Anderson. Mr. Anderson, Sr. was a Sgt in the U. S. States Air Force, a heavy equipment salesman and a member of the Bethesda Masonic Lodge #142 A.F. & A. M in Gilmer.

    He is survived by his wife, Barbara Anderson of Gilmer; sons and daughters-in-law, Lonnie C. Anderson and Teresa of Pasadena, Jim Anderson and Christy of Conroe; Daughters and sons-in-law, Debra Spencer Hill and Kelly of Granbury, Linda Allen and Marvin of Anna, Texas; sister, Vermell Brust of Hemphill; 10 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren.

    Mr. Anderson was preceded in death by Grandson, Douglass Blackstone.

    Obituary

    Louis George Brust III, finished his journey and went to his heavenly home on a blazing star February 1, 2012. He was born May 31, 1954 in Dallas, TX. Graduated Bryan Adams HS 1972. Worked for USPS Whiterock station Dallas, TX for almost 27 years. He was a member of Lakeside Babtist Church.

    A devoted and loving husband and father! Survived by his wife of 33 yrs of happiness Cheri Chabot Brust and four children Mendi (Erik) Scott, Julie Brust, Emily Brust and Louis Brust IV (Jessica) and two grandchildren Wyatt and Tori all of Ennis, TX. Also, his loving Mother Vermell Anderson Brust of Hemphill, TX. Two brothers John (Laina) JT and Sarah Brust. Bill (Deanna) Brust and family. Matthew and Jessica Lynn Brust. His Lifetime friend Rodney Horn. Preceeded in death by his father Louis George Brust Jr.

    He loved his family and friends! He loved the outdoors especially hunting and fishing! Also his dog Gin! We Miss Him Very Much!!!
