    Alexander Lee Gentry
    Monday, September 15, 2008

Jesus LOVES the little children and GOD loves Alex so much He took him from his Earthly Parents at the young age of 2. Alexander was born to Deric and Brandy Gentry, Aug. 9, 2006 and became GOD'S Angel on Sept. 12, 2008.

Alexander was stricken with a perforated ulcer on Nov. 26, 2007, and became critically ill and had to be care flighted to Cook Children's Hospital for emergency care where he was brought back to life after 47 minutes without a heartbeat, resulting in brain trauma. Released from Cook's on December 13, he spent nine months fighting to regain all he had lost and was making outstanding progress thanks to many volunteers and rehab nurses for which the family will forever be grateful.
Alexander touched thousands of people's hearts with his perseverance and fighting spirit received through the Spirit of our Lord Jesus Christ. The family is thankful to God for Alexander's life and especially thankful for the last nine months. We were able to see his beautiful smile again and witness courageous strength as Alex accomplished many things the doctors said he would never do. We Love you Alex and know you will always be with us. The family is especially thankful for all of the thousands of prayers and donations made on his behalf from all over the United States.

Alexander is survived by his parents, Deric and Brandy Gentry; his 3-month-old sister, Lainey Scottlyn Gentry; grandparents, Fred and Susie Gentry of Wichita Falls and Gerald and Paula Railsback of Fort Worth; great-grandparents, Alma Gentry, Herb and Barbara McCracken all of Wichita Falls, Pat Davis of Roanoke, Paul and Betty Davis of Arlington, Doyle and Mary Railsback, Bill and Eddie Raney; and great-great-grandmother, Earliene Davidson all of Big Spring; aunts and uncles, Julie and James Spence of Wichita Falls, Kevin and Casey Gentry of Katy, and Kevin and Jennifer Railsback of Aurora. Alex is also survived by numerous great aunts, uncles and cousins.

A visitation was held Sunday, Sept. 14 from 3 to 5 p.m. at Lunn's Funeral Home. Following, was a Wake and Rosary for Alexander at 7 p.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. A Funeral Mass celebrating Alex's life will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church Monday, Sept. 15 beginning at 10 a.m. with Celebrant, Father Raymond McDaniel, Co-celebrant, Father Hoa Nguyen, and Deacon Roland Benoit officiating. A burial in Crestview Cemetery will follow the service.
Tributes can be sent to the family at ?u?www.lunnscolonial.com ?/u?.
