HEMPHILL, Aug 19 - (Special)

Jean Sidney Jones, 40, of Sabine County, died at 6 pm Monday at the home of the father, Corbett Jones in Bronson, following a heart attack.

Graveside rites will be held Wednesday at 3 pm in the Bronson Cemetery. The Rev. Noel Hammock, paster of Little Flock Baptist Church of Bronson, will officiate. The Starr Funeral Home of Hemphill is in charge of arrangements. The body will remain at the funeral home until service time.

Jones was a World War II Veteran and a boilermaker.

Other survivors include this mother Mrs. Corbett Jones, Bronson; three sons, James Kenneth Jones, Thomas Lynn Jones and Jean Sydney Jones, Jr. all of Bronson; two daughters, Sharon Elizabeth Jones and Rebecca Ann Jones, both of Bronson; two brothers Lynn W. Jones, Summerville, SC and Winston C. Jones, Sour Lake.

Mildred (daughter of John Sidney Causey, Sr. and Nettie Anna Bragg) was born on 29 Apr 1920 in Hemphill, Sabine County, Texas; died on 11 May 1997 in Midland, Midland County, Texas; was buried in Hemphill City Cemetery, Hemphill, Sabine County, Texas. Jean Sidney Jones, Jr., 69, died Wednesday morning in the Twin Lakes Care Center in San Augustine. He was born in Hemphill to Jean Sidney and Mildred Causey Jones. Sidney retired from Temple Inland in Pineland and had lived in Bronson all his life and was a member of the Bronson Methodist Church.

He is survived by his brother Kenneth Jones of Lufkin, his half-brother Gerald Wayne Williams of Ruston, LA, and his sisters, Sharon Baggett and her husband Pete of Nacogdoches and Rebecca Cummings of Bronson.

There will be no services.

James Kenneth Jones, 75, of Lufkin, Texas passed away Saturday, April 17, 2021 at Hemphill Care Center in Hemphill, Texas.

James was born on June 10, 1945 in Hemphill, Texas to Jean Sidney Jones, Sr. and Mildred Causey Jones. He was a member of the U.S. Air force. He worked as an electrician in Temple.

He is survived by his sisters, Sharon Jones Baggett of Garrison, Texas and Rebecca Cummings of Bronson, Texas.

Cremation arrangements were handled by Starr Funeral Home in Hemphill.

Mary Ruth Jones, 65, of Hemphill, died in her home, Sunday morning, August 18, 2013. Ruthie was born in Dallas, Texas, to Charlie and Dorothy Moore Murphy. She has lived in Hemphill for forty-eight years coming from Leesville, LA.

Ruthie is survived by her husband Thomas Jones of Hemphill, her daughters; Tina Jones of Abilene, TX, and Tara Huffman and her husband Ricky of Hemphill, her grandchildren; John, Jeffery and Sandy, and her great grandchild Kynsy, her sister Linda Vincent and her husband Maxie of Leesville, LA, and her special friend Delores Stewart of Hemphill. Ruthie was preceded in death by her brother Charles Murphy.
