The 1910 U.S. Passport application for Isidor Friedman, wife Lena, and son Samuel, born in Schenectedy lists Isaac's place of birth as Ungwar, Hungary on 14 Aug 1858, and further stated he emigrated to the US sailing on board the Vrinar from Breman on or about 15 July 1893, residing for 17 years in city of Schenectedy. He was 5'3 inches tall, with a high forehead, brown eyes, straight nose, full mouth, short chin, dark hair and auburn complextion.

The World War II draft information instead listed his date of birth as 19 Mar 1889 in Hungary.

A Hattie Friedman can be found on the 1910 census in Schenectady, New York, in the home of Isaac and Lena Friedman, Hattie being the fourth of 11 children listed in the home. Her mother, Lena, was shown as the mother of 16 children, 12 still living in 1910. Her father, Isaac, was a merchant at a Meat Market. Both Isaac and Lena were born in Hungary.

Friedman, Edwin ALBANY Edwin Friedman, 88, died on Monday, August 27, 2012 at St. Peter's Hospital in Albany after a short illness. Edwin was born in Schenectady, N.Y. to Arthur and Ella Friedman. He graduated from Nott Terrace High School in 1942 and graduated from Siena College in 1948 with a B.B.A. in accounting. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II for three years. After his military service he worked for the State of New York as an accountant for 33 years. He was a member of Congregation Beth Israel in Schenectady N.Y. and a resident of the Daughters of Sarah Nursing Center for the past year. Survivors include one son, Nelson Friedman of Schenectady, N.Y. He was predeceased by his wife of 43 years, Jeanette Friedman. He was also predeceased by his brothers, Herbert Friedman and Norman Friedman. He is also survived by several cousins, nieces and nephews. The family wishes to extend their thanks to the staff at the Daughters of Sarah Nursing Center and also to the staff at St. Peter's Hospital for their support and caring. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday August 29, 2012 in Beth Israel Cemetery, Schermerhorn Road, Rotterdam, N.Y. Niskayuna- Herbert J. Friedman?b? ?/b?80, died August 30, 2009 after a long illness. Born in Schenectady, son of the late Arthur and Augusta Lee Friedman, Herb was a life long resident on Schenectady. He graduated from Nott Terrace High School, class of 1948. Herb was General Manager and Owner of Selected Meat Packers for many years and retired in 2007 from Latham Meat Market as a Salesman.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years Shirley Reiner Friedman; predeceased by his two children, David Friedman and Lauren Friedman Shabat and his late grandson Robb Friedman. Survived by his two granddaughters, Sandra Martin and Joelle Shabat; two brothers, Edwin Friedman and Norman Friedman; his daughter in-law, Virginia Friedman and three great grandchildren, Salvator, Marisa and Faith.

Funeral service will be held Tuesday morning at 11 AM at Congregation Beth Israel, 2195 Eastern Parkway, Niskayuna, NY. with Rabbi Moshe Mirsky officiating. Burial will be in Beth Israel Cemetery.

Born in Schenectady, son of the late Arthur and Augusta Lee Friedman. Norman has lived in Arizona for many years with his wife, Ada Rivers Friedman.

Survived by his wife Ada; sons Arron Friedman and Michael Friedman; his brother Edwin (Buddy) Friedman. Predeceased by his brother Herbert J. Friedman.

Burial was in Beth Israel Cemetery, Rotterdam, New York
