    Gregory Lynn Malone was born in San Augustine, TX on June 26, 1965 and spent his first night in Heaven with his Lord and Savior on August 6, 2016. Greg graduated with honors from Hemphill High School in 1983. He was an avid fisherman and tennis player. After graduation he worked for Temple-Inland and then in 1986 he married Kim Franks and joined the United States Air Force and moved to North Pole, Alaska. He spent the next four years dividing his time equally between serving his country and being a awesome father to his son Ryan. In 1990 Greg returned to East Texas to attend Stephen F. Austin State University. He has since worked in various technology fields and was currently employed at the Sabine County Appraisal District.

    He is survived by his father Charlie Malone of Houston, his sons: Ryan Malone and wife Randa of Jasper, Chance Osinga of Dallas, his 6 brothers: Chuck Malone and wife Deedee of Bowie, Texas, Steve Malone and wife Barbara of Bay City, Todd Malone and wife Jamie of Pineland, Chad Malone and wife Denice of Pineland, Brad Malone of Dallas, and Wayne Honeycutt and wife Debra of Hemphill, his sister Lori Williams, and granddaughter Marley Jade Malone.

    Visitation will be from 5:00PM until 9:00PM, Wednesday, August 10, 2016, in the Starr Funeral Home, 510 Starr St. Hemphill, Texas. Funeral services will be at 1:00PM, Thursday, August 11, 2016, in the Starr Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Gravel Hill Cemetery.
