    CLEFFA McLEMORE, 83, homemaker
    Funeral for Cleffa McLemore, 83, of Decatur will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Roselawn Funeral Home with the Rev. David McKelvey officiating.

    Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 9 at the funeral home.

    Mrs. McLemore died Sunday at Huntsville Hospital. She was born Cleffa Robinson on November 30, 1910, in Dallas.

    A longtime Decatur resident, she was a member of Central Baptist Church and was a homemaker.

    She is survived by one son, Harold McLemore Sr of Decatur, one sister, Elizabeth McLemore of Decatur; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

    Pallbearers will be Jay Roberts, Ben Robinson, Charles Black, Dempsey McLemore, Alvis McLemore and Bob Clements.

    Graveside service for Elizabeth Robinson McLemore of Decatur will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Roselawn Cemetery with the Rev. Dr. Mark Tolbert officiating ad Roselawn Funeral Home directing.

    Mrs. McLemore died Thursday, April 20, 2000 at Decatur General Hospital. She was born in Limestone County to Charles Henry Robinson and Lela Reid Robinson. She was raised from age 5 by A. P. Reid and Mary Lucy Reid. A homemaker, she was a member of Central Baptist Church since 1942 and was the widow of Burl McLemore.

    She is survived by one son, Charles W. McLemore of Decatur.

    Pallbearers will be Ben Robinson, Don Privett, Hardy Smith, Wayland McLemore, Warren McLemore and Dan Spangler.

    Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or a favorite charity or church.

    Funeral for Harold Wayland McLemore Sr., 75, of Decatur will be Saturday, Sept. 1, 2007, at 2 p.m. at Roselawn Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Dusty McLemore officiating.

    Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery.Visitation will be tonight from6 to 8 at the funeral home.
    Mr. McLemore, who died Wednesday, Aug. 29, 2007, at his residence, was born Oct. 23, 1931, in Limestone County to Alvis Wallace and Cleffa Belle Robinson McLemore. Hegraduated from RiversideHigh School (Decatur High)in 1950. He played footballunder Coach Shorty Ogle. He played from 1948 until 1950 on the Decatur High Championship team with team mem-ber and best friend, WesThompson. Later after graduation, he and Wes joinedmilitary service togetherwhere they served in Korea.He enlisted in 1950 as amember of the U.S. Army1343 combat engineeringdivision and became a corporal and communicationspecialist. He received basic training in Fort Campbell, Ky. Mr. McLemore was deployedto Korea at the beginningof the war where his division landed at Hyundai Beach under heavy attack. He was later wounded and spent three weeks in a MASH unit. He was awarded the Korean service medal and two bronze campaign stars. He was a member of the Decatur Chapter of the VFW.

    Upon returning to the states, Mr. McLemore took employment with Decatur Electric Department in 1952 as a lineman and later became superintendent where he retired in 1991. He was an avid fisherman and gardener and studied North Alabama archaeology.

    Survivors include his wife, Geraldine McLemore; two sons, Harold Wayland McLemore Jr. of Carthage, Texas, and Warren Hayes McLemore of Somerville; and four grandchildren, Casey McLemore, Jill McLemore and Shane McLemore, all of Carthage, Texas, and Brandon McLemore of Somerville.

    Pallbearers will be Jimmy Miller, Darrell Smith, Ray Robinson, Bruce Shaw, Roddy Taylor and Jay Roberts.

    Charles worked at Chemstrand early in his career but retired from Decatur's Office of Social Security Administration. Upon retirement he formed Twin City Glass and dealt in Coca-Cola memorabilia and vintage glassware. He owned rental property and commercial real estate.

    For the past three years Charles lived at River City Nursing Home in Decatur.

    Charles was born on April 5, 1933, in Limestone County to Burl and Elizabeth Robinson McLemore. His family moved to Decatur where he lived and attended Decatur schools, graduating from Decatur High School. He graduated from Athens College.

    Charles was a member of Central Baptist Church beginning with his enrollment in the Cradle Roll Department. He received recognitions for his attendance in Sunday school, earning pins for 30 years of attendance with no absences. He had many good friends in his Sunday school class.

    Prior to Charles' retirement from Social Security, he enjoyed collecting stamps and coins.

    He was preceded in death by his parents, Burl and Elizabeth R. McLemore.

    Charles is survived by uncles, aunts and cousins, Kay, Jo, Paul, Harold and Ben from the Robinson Family, Warren and Waylon and many others from the McLemore Family, as well as cousins from the Reed and Roberson Families. His special friends were Mervyn and Susan Michael and Jerry and Diane Kyle.

    In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the TLC Fund at Central Baptist Church, Decatur, AL.
