The informant on her Texas Death certificate was her daughter, Mrs. Francis KING. Although she died in Nacogdoches, Vercie was a resident of Bronson, Texas at the time of her death, living 2 miles west of FM Road 1.

Mary Lou Russell, 84, died in Lumberton on Friday, October 4, 2013. She was born in San Augustine on April 6, 1929 to Muncie "Bill" and Fannie Mae McCary. Mary Lou served as dispatcher and jailer for Jasper, Tyler and Sabine Counties for over forty years, retiring with the Sabine County Sheriff's office in 1992, having served twenty of her years there.

Mary Lou is survived by her husband Woodrow Russell, of Milam; her three daughters Tena, Lynda, and Wanda; five grandchildren, Denise, Michelle, Jimmy, Jason, and Erika; and fourteen great grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm, Sunday, October 6 at Starr Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, Oct. 7, 2013, in the Starr Funeral Home Chapel, 510 Starr St., Hemphill, TX 75948. Burial will follow in the Foxhill Cemetery (also known as Joel Halbert Cemetery) in Milam.

Mary married Woodrow Lloyd Russell before 1947. Woodrow (son of Wallace Freeman Russell and Eula Mae Allen) was born on 4 Jan 1918 in Milam, Sabine County, Texas; died on 11 Jun 2015 in Texas; was buried in Halbert Cemetery (Joel Halbert Cemetery / Fox Hill Cemetery), Milam, Sabine County, Texas. Kenneth R. "Dick" McCary, age 71, died on July 23, 2009 in Tyler Texas.

Mr. McCary was born on April 9, 1938 in Milam TX to Bill McCary and Fannie Mae Russell (maiden).

A lifetime resident of Bronson TX, he was a Maintenance Supervisor at Temple Inland and a member of Bethany Baptist Church in the Plainview Community.

Funeral services will take place at 11:00AM, Saturday, July 25, 2009 at Starr Funeral Home Chapel, 510 Starr Street, Hemphill TX, with Bro. Vance Purtell officiating. Interment will follow at Rosevine Cemetery.

Visitation will take place on Friday, July 24, 2009 from 5:00PM until 9:00PM at Starr Funeral Home.

Mr. McCary is survived by his wife, Delores McCary of Bronson, TX; sons Keith McCary and wife Tina and Kelvin McCary and wife Tempie all of Bronson; sister Mary Russell of Milam TX; Grandchildren Shonda Evans, Krissi Clark, Adam McCary and Halei McCary and 6 Great-Grandchildren.

Mary Frances King, 73, of Hemphill, Texas passed away February 13, 2020 in Lufkin, Texas.

Mary was born on September 11, 1946 in San Augustine, Texas to Joe Alford Womack and Vercie McCary. She was a loving mother and homemaker.

She is survived by son, Nathan King and wife Michelle of Cove, Texas; daughters, Vickie Dickerson and husband Mark of Milam, Texas, Dena McGill and husband Arnold of Pasadena, Texas, and Angie Dorsey and husband Woodie of Milam, Texas; brother, Doug Womack and wife Lynn of Milam, Texas; grandchildren Scott Simpson and wife Heidi, Cory Simpson and wife Loni, Brittany Fletcher and husband J.T, Brandon McGill, Travis Dorsey, Bethany Dorsey, Jacob Dorsey, Tyler King, and Garner King; great grandchildren Gunnar, Hannah, Vador, Hazel, and Teagan.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and great grandson Hunter Simpson.

Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM, Sunday February 16, 2020 with Funeral Services to follow at 12:00 PM in Starr Funeral Home Chapel, 510 Starr Street, Hemphill, Texas with Bro. Rusty Hammett officiating.

Burial will follow services in Rosevine Cemetery under the direction of Starr Funeral Home with Scott Simpson, Cory Simpson, Brandon Mcgill, J.T. Fletcher, Travis Dorsey, Jacob Dorsey and Tyler King serving as pallbearers.
